I am a 3rd year student, pursuing B.sc (Hons.) Physics from Dayal Singh College , Delhi Uinversity

To my dear fellow brothers; sisters; and beloved Ashutosh sir, Before I start this monologue, I presume you may be wondering that this is going to be regular monologue where the person appreciates the other person wholly , but unintentionally. But I ensure you that the incidents and events that are discussed here are as true as a mathematical equation is. This is my second writing on my high school days. So, let’s begin…

I was in much intellectual pain. I couldn’t understand those equations which were written on the board in the school neither I could solve for the variable of interest. I was as dumb as a donkey; or to phrase it differently, I was not being taught correctly for all those years in the school. It was high time I did something about it, as 10 th class annual exams were approaching. I got my half yearly Maths examination marks on 30 th Sep, 2014. I would like you to know that I scored good but it was, to my belief, a fix. A fix, where I was getting somewhat desired result but not understanding anything. I knew that the answer will be right if I put the numbers in the right way in a given problem; without understanding anything. My mother talked to one of my sister’s primary teachers as we had good family relations with them. My mother told me that she had met Ashutosh sir and I would begin going there from 11 th Oct, 2014.  On the very day, I was there and told Ashutosh sir that I had come with Surbhi D’s reference. I started coming regularly and got interested in mathematics because of the way the teaching was being conducted. I could visualize things to some extent which I couldn’t do earlier. I got an A in the final examination, where I had been yearning for a B in past.

In 11 th class I took maths and sir told me that it’s not going to be easy. Unfortunately, I was on bed for 3 months, for I had been diagnosed with rebound-typhoid. Sir helped me to the fullest after I started getting better. In class 12 th , I could visualize things To full extent. Most of the credit goes to Ashutosh Sir as he kept on pushing everyone beyond their limits.

And now, I’m studying in Dyal Singh College as a Physics Major. The college and it’s administration is a total disaster. Sometimes, I get upset about it. And then, I go to meet sir and he keeps motivating me as he used to do in the past when I was his student.

I had not been an excellent student since my birth. I was born with no special miraculous abilities. But,  I learnt that anyone who is willing to devote a great deal of time and practice, thoughts, and imaginnation can do wonders with the guidance of sir.
