I joined Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, Noida in July 2015 to pursue BTech in Electronics and Communication Engineering.

When I came to class 9 th , I was desperately searching for a good institute but could not find the two things (required) –

Personal touch and proper guidance.

Fortunately, I met Ashutosh Kaushal Sir during summer holidays and found him really helpful and motivating.

The classroom environment here was challenging and competitive. Ashutosh Sir always covered all the topics in detail and gave us plenty of questions in worksheets to increase our problem solving ability. He was always ready to clear our doubts and we too felt free to ask our doubts from him. Learning Science here was interesting because he showed us videos, documentaries etc. related to the subject which we could relate with the theoretical concepts discussed in the class. I believe that my interest in Science got developed during the course of time at this institute only.

The focus here was always to increase the thinking capability and participation, we were given time to first try the questions on our own and later everything used to be discussed. In some questions alternate approach was also a part of the discussion. There were Evaluation Tests (ETs) after each chapter, rather after each topic of a particular chapter which helped me to know where I stand and the areas where I need to improve upon. Topic-wise tests were followed by full length tests before school exams.

Apart from our subjects, Sir also shared a lot of success stories and experiences with us. There was psychological counselling, interaction regarding the importance of moral values and ethics to live in a society which often left me mesmerised. The best thing about him is that he stays updated with the present scenario and latest technologies which gets clearly reflected in his teachings.

In class 9 th , I topped among all the branches of Andhra Education Society Sr. Sec. School, ITO, New Delhi.

I continued my journey with Ashutosh sir in class 10 th also. I secured 10 CGPA without upgradation. I was not only the School Topper but District Level Topper too. Deciding about stream in class 11 th was a challenge but sir’s counselling regarding various career options and confidence in me helped me to opt for Science.

The Mathematics exam of 2015 was the toughest as compared to previous years and I could tackle and score well in it because sir gave us a lot of problems to practice and it was more than enough to face the boards. I still remember there were around five mock tests conducted to check the level of our preparation. I was the topper of class 12 th (Science stream) in my school with distinction in English and Computer Science.

Today where I stand, I owe my achievements to God, my parents and specially Ashutosh sir for mentoring me in such a way that I felt the need to constantly work hard and excel in studies. Without his guidance and inspirational words I would not have been able to achieve this much. He used to say “Academics has a lot of power” while sharing the accomplishments of our seniors.

I may fall short of words to express my heartfelt gratitude to him. Thank you so much sir for all your support not only to me but to my brothers as well!

My advice to juniors is work hard and be sincere, have faith in you, the future is all yours!!
