Akshita Sharma

  • Delhi, India
  • B-Tech (CSE), GGSIPU, Delhi
  • 2010 - 2014
I am Akshita Sharma, a 22-year-old hum who believes in immense hard work and passion that can make people achieve whatever they want. I am a graduate in Engineering ( B-Tech-CSE) from GGSIPU, Delhi. Currently, I am pursuing dance as my career. I am now an instructor at ‘The Dance work, Artistic director: Mr. Ashley Lobo’ and also training myself regularly in different dance styles like Jazz, Ballet and Contemporary. I have done my schooling from Ahlcon Public School, Mayur Vihar Phase-I, Delhi. I am a person who never likes to give up no matter how hard the situation is.

I joined Ashutosh Sir’s Maths and Science tuition classes in the year 2010 when I was in class IXth. Since then, he has been a mentor, a teacher, a friend and a figure who inspires me to follow my passion. He is not only brilliant at the subjects he teaches but also an amazing teacher.

Apart from teaching, he guides his students whenever and in whichever part of life they are facing difficulty in. He motivates his students to aim at bigger goals and encourages them to work hard.

If I share my personal experience with “Learning from Ashutosh Sir”, it would be an interesting one. I joined his classes, I was extremely weak at Maths and like most of us have an ear of this subject. But sir’s guidance flipped everything.

Slowly and gradually my interest started to develop. His methods were helping me out a lot and eventually, my grades started improving. I scored 95/100 in maths in my CBSE class XII Board examination and it won’t be wrong to say that 80% credit goes to Sir. Also, he is one of those rare people who are so passionate about their work that they leave no stone unturned in order to give the best to their people.

He uses his knowledge of technology and blends it perfectly with these old school teaching techniques. In science class, he used to show videos related to topic that we studied. As rightly said, "An IMAGE is easier to understand than a plain TEXT”. He uses the same concept to teach his students in a more effective way.

Taking about his personality, he is someone, who genuinely cares for his students and is always ready to help them. A lot of times, we being teenagers, used to go up to him with our everyday problems and he would listen to us patiently.

One of the challenges for me was to decide on a career goal. My heart and passion lied within the field of dance. But due to some reasons, my parents were not so convinced about it. Even in this situation, sir showed confidence in me and always encouraged me to do pursue what I love. A lot of times he had not only counseled me but also my parents and it did make a difference. I still remember the kind of values and ethics I got while I learned from him. One of the things that stick with me till date is  an equation that he wrote while explaining to us something, “Excellence+Hardwork= Success+ Money (By Product).” He believes that money is just the by-product which will flood in automatically if your focus is a craft that you are pursuing. And this gives me motivation till date.  Last but not least, one of the most admirable things about him is his selfless giving attitude as he teaches a number of underprivileged students for free. Thank You so much, sir, for being the kind of person that you are!
